Subject: Sugar and additives
Content: My son is 13 w/ADHD. We tried meds for 6 months when he was around 8 or 9. After that we tried a natural/organic diet that restricts pre-processed foods, dyes, etc. Raw sugar was used rather than refined and yes, everything was cooked in coconut oil. We saw a huge difference in his behavior. He still has bad days but it seems to mellow him out. He has not been on meds since. However, I have known some children that this does not work for. It took around 6-8 weeks for us to notice a difference. I hope this helps.
