Interesting observations from behavioural diaries

 So much of the recent work I have been doing with HET points to a very interesting situation. As we all know behavioural conditions like ADHD, ADD, ODD, Autism, Asperger’s vary in symptoms from individual to  individual. Rewarding parents and ADHD behaviours

Parents need more rewards than the child with ADHD and similar challenging behaviours.

A loving and supportive parent said to me the other day that her child (with autism) didn’t  relate to rewards. So putting the reward Chart in place was a problem.

When I suggest using behavioural charts to either parents or teachers I usually hear a groan and they say “Been there done that – Got the tee shirt – They don’t work.”
