Redefining ADHD behaviour

ADHD Behaviour is defined and diagnosed through a checklist of symptoms. These include:

not paying attention,

not listening,

not finishing the task,

constantly fidgeting,

always on the go,

not thinking things through ,

not learning through past mistakes, ,

not achieving in the traditional classroom environment,

hypersensitive reactions to people and things,  

and the list goes on – How many ticks on the list does your child score?

These children have their brains wired in a slightly different way. They break down systems which are no longer appropriate to the way they work. They reflect back to us the system and what it does. They do this through their behaviour.

They have healing abilities.

They relate to crystals.

They will discuss things like past lives, angels, fairies etc.

They naturally prefer vegetarian food.

They have the ability to suss out people’s integrity immediately.

Often these children are hypersensitive because they are so affected by their surroundings.

They feel others emotions as if they were their own. They can become overwhelmed with too much stimuli.

They are sensitive to crowds and noisy environments.

They often start talking later in life.

At times these children appear not to hear but seem to go off into a trance.

They get sucked into TV and computers.

They are incredibly focused when they are in nature.

They are sensitive to the moods of others.

Red meat often causes a problem in their diet.

Often they are fearless.

They react to global events and are affected by moon cycles, sometimes having panic attacks.

They would rather be outdoors.

They have an hypnotic affect on animals.

They enjoy environmental work.

They think in pictures rather than words.

They are super affectionate and can be rather clingy.

Their sleep patterns follow individual rhythms.

Often everything has to be just so as they can’t stand inconsistency.

Often everything has to be just so as chaos is so overwhelming.

Now compare this list of alleged symptoms to the ADHD diagnosis. How many ticks on this list does your child score?

All of this is a  new understanding into these behaviours but not one that is embraced by the systems in society like education or pharmaceutical companies.
