Today – let’s look at moms, dads and carers – how can you help your stress levels when your child is most challenging? If you don’t, that stress reflects in your emotional reactions to your child’s behaviour. This then becomes a dynamic and the two of you will just bounce off each other in stressful situations. As soon as you feel the buttons being pressed it is your warning system that you are losing control and your child is getting the upper hand. At this point, it is important that you break the pattern. One of the best ways of doing this is to take time out and to take your Bach Flower remedy drops. This is for two reasons, firstly it is bringing you out of the situation to have a different outcome and secondly it sending a powerful message to your child to take theirs as well. This will immediately bring you both out of the dynamic. A good remedy to take is obviously rescue remedy to break the stress cycle, walnut, to protect you from the influence of others, beech for intolerance and elm for being overwhelmed by the situation and centaury to stand your ground with your child. This will be so helpful in overcoming your stress levels with your child and if anyone would like me to email them across a sound frequency to help them with an instant free download – please email me at lin@HETwebsite.com and I will send one across to you. When you are calm and in control of the situation your child will respond much more positively. This summer I was asked to work with a family and help a little boy, sadly although he was quite willing to take remedies and do the projects, his mom wasn’t prepared to act on the HET suggestions. She would not take the drops herself, meet the online or phone appointments and didn’t follow the guidance on the reward charts. Her son bullied her and manipulated her and she found it very difficult to work around coping with the many exclusions. Without Mom coming on board with the programme, it was impossible to support the child – the dynamic between them was the root of the behavioural problems. This is one of the most powerful ways of turning the situation around – working together on the programme sends out such a powerful message of support. HET is about helping you cope and here are some amazing people to connect with on this site that have survived it all and can share that experience with you right now!
