ADHD Center
Posted On 24/09/2009 13:11:28 by administrator

Over the years I have been involved with many types of ADHD centers, for kids, families, educational, medical, social and therapeutic all offering different strategies and approaches on how to  turn  ADHD around.

Many such centers are only pedalling one kind of approach like for example some of the educational referrals to medical centers. These  are only focused on medication as the cure all for ADHD.

Clearly many of these centers will have their own agendas and many fail to address the simple fact that ADHD is different for everyone and that it is a complex condition that needs an integrated holistic approach not only for the person with ADHD but for the other family members who live with it on a daily basis.

HETwebsite is a center which offers specialist advice in the different areas of support that are all tried tested and researched as effective. The techniques are safe and simple and effective and empower the user to measure for themselves how effective this programme really is.

HET in its developmental years trod on many toes. A leading medical professional in the City phoned me up one day and threatened me professionally not to work with his patients. The interesting thing was that I had a queue of school nurses waiting to come and train on the programme. I still have evidence of  a correspondence that went out many years later informing school nurses not to use this proven effective approach that had been commended by the government department for standards in school with an 85%+ success rate or they would lose their jobs.

Social services were another department that took issue with the success rate that HET was achieving. Many of the families that were supported by HET were not getting very far with such departments in terms of help and understanding. Schools were excluding kids when families were unable to cope and putting pressure on parents to have their children medicated.

Any ADHD Center is going to have an agenda, Check it out!
