I will begin to explain how a diet of largely raw living foods can help bring about radical changes in our health whatever our ages -from conception to old age. It is hard to explain what happens when we change to a life of raw living superfoods - magic really happens! These foods nourish the right hemisphere of the brain. This is where we are creative, inspired, inspirational, connected, loving, sensual and intuitive. I am only in my first few months of living a more raw life - at the moment I am mostly 80% raw every day, and this is most comfortable for me - I still love a hot meal each day, especially in the colder months - summer will see me 100% raw for sure once all the lovely salads are abundant in my garden! There are many challenges when we switch to a raw lifestyle, many emotional issues need to be dealt with as they are brought to the surface, we find many things we need to change in everyday situations and are sometimes forced out of comfortable patterns that really dont help us reach our true potential - this can be painful to move through, but with courage we can acheive miracles. Physical detoxification and healing happen daily, but as the months pass we feel our energy increase, more vitality, more joyfulness, enthusiasm, passion and positivity - a real zest for life on this beautiful planet we live on. I see raw foods as an integral part of optimum health and vitality. when we eat this way we are assisting our bodies in tuning into its own wisdom, aligned with the earth from which the plants have grown. Eating this way unlocks the potential within us to become more fully who we are. Ideally are typical day would consist of the following;
It is important however not to become fixated on our diets - don't set yourselves goals that are too high or they become hard to stick to - go slowly one step at a time - just 50% of your diet being raw will bring huge benefits to you especially combined with eating superfoods (which we will look at soon)The rest will come in time. The positive health effects of a Raw Food diet are far-reaching and different people make the choice for different reasons. For some, the principal reason is ease of weight loss. For others, it is just a simple way to eat healthily. Many witness a marked change in appearance, developing a clearer complexion and radiant skin. And still more experience a significant increase in energy, as well as feeling and looking years younger. In addition to these general health benefits, Raw Food is known to have healed and helped a wide range of minor and severe illnesses, conditions and symptoms. These include:
Switching to a mainly (75 - 80%) or fully Raw Food lifestyle will enable you to enjoy delicious, guilt-free meals and treats, while shedding excess weight quickly and healthily. And the benefits can be amazing to see - with change coming fast, not in years or months, but in weeks and often days. (information from The Raw Food School) |

Morning I too love hot drinks (and latte) but now aim to have herbal teas and water - I cant stomach fruit drinks at all and the high sugar/acid is not good for us. I reccommend Pukka Teas, and indeed lots of their Ayervedic supplements too. I am hoping to be 95% Vegan soon - sometimes my body says that I need fish for example, so then I eat some. I feel that our aim is to tune in to what our body is saying as it knows best. Super foods are indeed the algaes, monoatomic trace elements and crystal salts. I will post on these later today. It is a detailed subject and one that needs looking at for they are truely transforational foods and we can get a bit scared of them as they are the most expensive things to buy for our health but so very important. I tend to have my herb teas with hot water and a little honey or agave nectar and for even more lushness a drop of sweet orange essential oil I would not go to the extreme of having everything cold - even raw soup can be warmed gently til it is just warm enough! It is better to go slowly when transitioning from a way of life we are comfortable with, so one step at a time - then you will be able to stick at it long term. As you are almost Vegan now it is easy to go that one stage further. Superfoods are perfect for supporting our soul-body-mind transformation - for Indigos and anyone! I will post a whole subject on superfoods on Friday - I have to be away til then - hope you can wait a little longer. |
