Many adults cannot seem to get their head around the thought that animals and children can work together to help each other. More need to open their eyes and minds to this type of therapy and recognise the value of such therapy. Many children from abused backgrounds will find it difficult to express their feelings to an adult who in their eyes represents distrust, hurt, pain and anger...these children can become involved with animals creating bonds and express their feelngs through the animal with many of their thoughts expressed as being the animals thoughts. This in itself must play an important part in the start of the childrens understanding and recovery from the abuse as well as teaching them responsibility and caring so why must some adults stand in the way by inflicting their own feelings regarding the keeping of animals on those who are willing to open their minds and allow what is best for the others? Any thoughts on this?

One of things I am always being asked about is where is the scientific proof!

Anyone who has animals will understand that they do not need that because the 'knowing' is in the relationship  but I have got this for anyone who encounters the sceptic's argument:
